“Josie” is ready to continue her show career and bring home more wins yet this season - if you or someone you know is looking for a finished, easy to get along with, all around show horse, she is definitely one to consider. Let me tell you - she is super fun, especially in the trail and showmanship!

Under saddle, Josie can genuinely do it all - she strides out super sweepy and beautiful for the hunter under saddle and bring it all the way back for the western pleasure - her lope is really pretty! She is very smooth to ride, even her extensions are smooth. She rates extremely well and stays in gear, perfect for the rider that maybe needs to be a little bit more of a passenger at times. And gosh is she gorgeous over poles - she just floats! She is pretty forgiving of mistakes and doesn’t get easily frustrated, although like many finished show horses there are times where she thinks she knows what she should be doing and needs a little extra guidance/clarity in the ask. The best rider fit is someone with an average amount of confidence/experience to make the best team. Josie has been shown with ease by an amateur and a youth rider.

On the ground, she is a showmanship machine - one of her best classes (of many!) she is easy to have around and good mannered in her stall - pretty clean too. She stands nicely in the cross-ties for grooming and saddling (she does toss her head a slight bit anticipating the girth after saddling, but otherwise stands still). She clips GREAT - super easy, no twitch required. Stands good for the farrier - she currently has shoes on all four feet but nothing special required. Conformationally her feet are quite even and grow out with decent heel. Loads and unloads from a trailer nicely and settles in like a show horse should to new places.

No vices. She is currently on daily regumate and gets her hocks done once per year as a standard/preventative maintenance. She did have an informal pre-sale vetting completed and there was one incidental finding with the start of some arthritis in her RF fetlock - just happen to find it on the xray, hasnt caused her any issues or needed any maintenance but it might be something to be proactive about. Otherwise she is healthy and ready to enjoy the show pen with her new person!
