I have known this gelding since he was born! - Born to a good friend of mine, he was (still is) her “heart horse” but unfortunately at her age, he just got too tall for her :/ unable to saddle/get on him by herself is forcing her decision to find his next forever home. So lets find him a good one!!

“Nino” is such a classic, easy going, gentle giant, gelding. He is so chill - he loads up in the trailer with ease and settles into new places like they are his second home. He will be the one to greet you at the gate when you go out to fetch him, and he stands like a gem for the farrier. He is so EASY to have around, doesn’t make a fuss about anything. Stands in cross-ties for saddling/grooming/bathing quietly. He clips without a twitch, even his ears! He has been in and out of training over the course of the last couple of years leaving him still green in the respect of “show” training but he has plenty of saddle miles to consider him reliable. He has been shown successfully in Halter, Showmanship, Leadline, wt English Pleasure, and wj Western Pleasure with his Select rider. He has been used for equestrian team kids that are in need of a horse to ride, and also as a leadline horse - show mom approved! He is so great minded, and really really wants to please his rider.

On the ground, Nino is proficient in the showmanship, now its time to do pattern after pattern to really make him sharp! He also has multiple wins in halter - if you want to secure that high point by winning performance halter, this guy will do it for ya! Under saddle he is smooth to ride and is very in tune with your seat, making him a very studious student and easily trainable. His walk/jog is much further along than his lope, but his lope is coming along nicely and he is starting to really sit back on his hock and comfortably lope around. He has been owned, shown, and ridden successfully by a Senior Select rider - she also kept him at home when he wasnt off for the short random bits of training. If you are looking for a horse with a super solid foundation, one that is easy to show prep, and one you can put a little polish on and enjoy the show pen with… Nino is a must see for sure!

No maintenance, no health issues, HYPP N/N and PSSM N/N, he does wear plain steel front shoes to help maintain his angles for horse shows, but they do come off for the winter time. No Vices.
